It’s Saturday which means I get to post other interesting not-so-known facts about everyday life! Read away to learn something new!

The magic word for this week is VOCABLES

These are the ‘Na Na Na’ and ‘La La La’ which doesn’t mean anything in the lyrics. The term is currently used for utterances such as the English vocables of assent and denial, uh-huh and uh-uh, or the vocable of error, uh-oh.

They are also common as pause fillers, (um and er), where they have little formal meaning and are rarely purposeful.
